Frequently Asked Questions
Where are Zebra shutters made and which materials do you use?
Our shutters are manufactured in China. We have our own production line offering spray finishing, colour matching and made to measure flexibility for each order. We use a sustainable hardwood called Paulownia throughout our range (full height, tier-on-tier and cafe style) but we do also have a uPVC ‘man-made’ poly-vinyl option if required for wet rooms.
Are Zebra shutters environmentally friendly?
Every hardwood shutter we supply is FSC Certified - meaning you’re doing your bit for the environment by placing an order.
What happens if my shutters are the wrong size or are damaged?
All shutter installation surveys are personally undertaken by our Director, Mark who has 20+ years’ experience measuring and fitting complicated sash windows. Period properties often come with strange angles and Mark’s seen them all before!
In the unlikely event your shutters are the wrong size or arrive damaged, these will be replaced at no cost to yourself (but thankfully this hasn’t happened yet).
How do I receive a Zebra quotation?
The quickest way it to fill out the
'Quick Quote'’ form on our site. Alternatively, you can email us photos and measurements to
info@zebrashutters.co.uk or you can even WhatsApp us some photos over if this is easiest for you?
Do you have a Zebra showroom so I can see the shutters before ordering?
No - we keep our pricing as competitive as possible by minimising our outgoings. However, we do have local project addresses you can visit and physical samples to show you at the point of survey.
How much is delivery & fitting?
We have no additional charges for delivery or fitting. Every estimate we offer has consultation, survey, delivery, installation and a 5-year guarantee included in the price.
How long will my Zebra shutters take to arrive?
Our lead time is around 8-10 weeks. We are issued with a more precise delivery timeframe around 3 weeks before they enter the UK - at which point we will be in touch to book in your installation date.
Some companies ask for full payment upfront - is this the case with Zebra?
No - we don’t think full payment upfront is fair and we require a 50% deposit to confirm your project. Then your final balance in only payable once you are fully satisfied with the completed installation.
